Mission: The
purpose of the Newnan-Coweta Historical Society, Inc., which owns and
operates the History Center, is to preserve and interpret the history
of Newnan and Coweta county heritage through collections, educational
programs, exhibitions, and research. We welcome the opportunity to
expand our educational efforts by allowing use of the Center.
Location: The
Center is located at 60 East Broad Street, Newnan, Georgia in the old
A&W Railroad Depot.
Capacity: 200 Guests
Availability:
The Center is available, to NCHS members at the $50 Donor Level, for
use Monday to Saturday. Sunday availability is limited.
Parking: The
Center offers free parking on the premises that is sufficient for
most events.
Security:
The use of a security officer is left to the user's discretion.
Reservations:
A date will be reserved upon receipt of 50 percent, nonrefundable
deposit and a signed contract. The balance of the fee must be paid no
later than sixty days prior to the event. A reservation cannot be
guaranteed without the deposit and signed contract.
Donation
Requested: Day events are $200 to $300; Night events
Monday-Thursday are $500; Friday is $600; Saturday is $700.
County/City government or Non-profit organizations check with the
Center Coordinator for rental prices. A 3-day event is $1,000 which
covers set up and clean up. Event rental prices are subject to change.
Alcohol
License: The Newnan-Coweta History Center has a permit for
alcohol use on the property. For alcohol pouring license, the
user must purchase a one-time $50 permit from the City of Newnan.
